Coping with anger
Experts suggest these tips for dealing with anger without resorting to violence:
Talk about your feelings — if you can't find the right words to describe what you're going through, find a trusted friend or adult to help you one-on-one.
Express yourself calmly — express criticism, disappointment, anger or displeasure without losing your temper or fighting.
Listen to others — listen carefully and respond without getting upset when someone gives you negative feedback. Try to see the other person's point of view.
Negotiate — work out your problems with someone else by looking at alternative solutions and compromises.

As a target for a while, I think some of the chatters need to refrain from using bad languages. But over all, I found this forum is pretty civilized and clean.
It's important to respect whom you are arguing with even you don't like the speaker. I guess that's part of democracy. That's why we Chinese haven't learned what democracy is. A long way to go.

If you want democracy, go to the Taiwanese Parliament

or any other brawling Parliament of the democratic West, for that matter.
Here you may not find democracy, but you'll find ladies and gentlemen of culture and refinement :)
Take your pick!

You get as much respect as you showed to the interpreter,

your language toward her was not necessarily better.
the point is, maybe 99% of people here may agree there is something to be worried about (i personally am more pessimistic) but few think it is the interpreter to blame.
what's more, there is nothing to do with the spokesperson's sex. US got a female secretary of state, mme. albright, and they bombed iraq, bombed yugoslavia, bombed chinese embassy...do you think a male one would have necessarily achieved more?
better think about your own's logic flaw than being a target. if you do think you are a target, most of times just because you are not at the majority side. anyone of a democratic spirit won't complain being a minority.

I don't think I used any foul language towards the interpreter

I expressed my discontent towards the interpreter and I think it's my right of this country to say that I don't think she did a good job. What's wrong about that? Yes, I felt ashamed, but it's my feeling and people disagree are free to defend the interpreter.

Take it easy. No big deal.

You expressed your discontent towards the interpreter and think she is responsable for China's diplomatic disadvantages but others found that ridiculous and disagreed. If some came up with tough languages, it is because, upon their judgment, your words were unreasonably rude (such as "ashamed"). That's all. Just a normal dispute. Take it easy, OK? If you do wish to learn more about the situation and other' opinions and analyses about the sino-American issues, this is not the right place. Go to www.omnitalk.com and from the links find plenty of forums such as military forum, sanxian gu, etc. where you can read more, understand more and then make some sound judgments of your own.
