I just came across this in a British novel, :
England on leave was one thing. Plenty of money to blue (to begin
with anyway !)..
A few pages later, the fellow in the story won his bet ( in
a horse race) : Luke grinned broadly. A hundred pounds to blue !
Is this British expression the same as the American "to boot" ?
("Plenty of money to boot" and "A hundred pounds to boot" )
