A survey on translation

Hello. I am doing a research project on translation. I'm looking for feedback on the idea of using a translation tool for everything from real-time chat to email and message boards. Could you take a moment to fill out the following short survey? Your input is very valuable to this project. Feel free to contact me if you'd like more information.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
T.L. Taylor (ttaylor@brandeis.edu)
-----
1. What language(s) do you speak? If you speak several, which is your primary one?
2. Have you found that language plays a significant role in your net experience? For example, are you able to access all the information you'd like on the Internet? Do you feel you can easily participate in online communities? Are you able to communicate with all the people you want?
3. Do you use any of the existing translation services (AltaVista's Babelfish for example)?
4. If not, have you ever wanted to be able to translate things while online?
5. What kinds of activities do you use, or think you would use, translation for? (chat? email? reading or creating web pages? online auctions? other?)
6. Do you have any concerns about using a translation tool?
7. If you were able to achieve a high degree of accuracy by conforming to a simple sentence structure (noun + verb + preposition + adverb), would you be willing to accommodate the system? If not, why?
8. How do you think being able to communicate across languages would change your online experience?
9. Are there any other comments or concerns you have regarding the idea of translation for the Internet you think would be important to include in this research?

Sorry. But "those who are interested IN IT take it"?

Or is it another form of informal English that allows the omission to take place in such an instance?

Sure, that's implied and can be omitted if understandable in the context. And after all, brevity is the soul of lingerie.

下班之前先打一枪:You can't fill out a survey, can you? And you'd like to HAVE more information, if I'm not being bluntly to put it?

Would you like more tea or information? :-)

I'm sure that a survey could mean a survey form or questionnaire. The only impropriety here seems to be that, while "filling out a survey" suggests that you only need to fill blanks or check answers in a multiple-choice format, this survey asks straight questions. Who has time for that?

You mean it's acceptable in a colloquial sense?
