"foreclose options" 原意可能是指“预先就把各种选择封杀了”。因此，可译为“不留后路”、“不给回旋余地”等，与“leave options open”(留有余地，留条退路)适成对比。
Another tentative version for "foreclose options" would be "破釜沉舟" which is subject to your endorsement.

古月的解释完全正确。 Foreclose 一词一般词典都只列其与银行业有关的最常用意思，即“取消赎回权”， 却不列另一重要意思：prevent。 估计因此才令人产生疑惑。其实第二种意思极常用，但一般只出现在教正式的文体。
从两处摘录释文，供大家参考：
The Concise Oxford Dictionary (1990):
Fore close: ... 2. exclude, prevent. 3. shut out, bar.
Cambridge International Dictionary of English(1995):
Foreclose = prevent. Rather formal. To prevent (sth.)from being considered as a possibility in the future.
*The president said he had not entirely foreclosed the possibility of a military solution.
*The leader's aggressive atance seems to have foreclosed any chance of diplomatic compromise.
“完全排除。。。可能性”、“把路堵死”，视情况都说得通。
