My 2 cents on laoliu's English: longwinded, pretentious, clumsy

I do think Dasha's judgment on laoliu's English is fair:
the latter's English leans heavily upon a badly shaped
wall, with a bad style to boot. The wall is clumsy,
longwinded (a wall can breathe, can it not?), and
pretentious. Sooner or later - I pray, for laoliu's
sake, that it would be later - the wall will collapse,
leaving behind a clump of debris from which nothing
valuable can be salvaged.

I grant that laoliu is studious in his English study,
but this does not gainsay the obvious fact, to me at
least, that he has little gift in the English language.
He may have concocted long sentences and sprinkled
here and there a few unfamiliar words, but his sentences
and words sound artificial, lifeless, devoid of grace
and imagination. They have been propped up with mighty
efforts on his part, only to be found later at the
forgotten corner of the grand linguistic hall, simpering
like old discarded dolls of a ventriloquist's.

I have also read Dasha's English posts; my honest opinion
is that Dasha's English is better, far better, than
laoliu's: Dasha's English is natural, elegant, and
idiomatic. By comparison, laoliu's is unnatural, burdensome,
and idiotic.

I do hope laoliu won't be offended by my candid judgment;
after all, his age is advanced enough to merit a cool
reflection, upon reading this post of mine, rather than
a bilious eruption of outrage. BTW, laoliu would do well
to ignore tian xin's fawning opinion based on her
recovered taste, if she had her own taste and independent
opinion at all to start with. No matter how many
Shakespeare's plays she has read, the good old Bard would
never be on her side. Albee's Longwinded Lady would perhaps
be willing to become her longtime companion. :)
