Reposting an old question about *qみ垫 (通心菜)

GB ((通心菜) a.k.a. (瓮菜)
Big 5 (*qみ垫) a.k.a. *| 垫

Several weeks ago I asked whether there is a simple English name
for this vegetable. The only term I was able to find, at that time,
was "water convolvulus". (Probably a technical term).
I see that we are having lots of new visitors from all over the world,
may be some one knows a simpler and better term for this vegetable.
