读书评译（２７）：“多三倍多”
《汉英翻译教程》（中国图书刊行社，１９９３）关于葛州坝的文章的汉语原文（１８４页）和英译（２４９－２５０页）：
年发电量一百四十三亿度，比１９４９年全国总发电量多三倍多。
It will generate 14,300 million kilowatt hours of electricity a year, more than three times the electricity generated in China in 1949.
评：more than three times可改为over three times more than。另外，美国电力公司习惯用MWh(megawatt-hour) 为单位，原文数字可译为 14.3 million MWh。不知道其他国家的习惯如何。
