其中：unedged始终搞不清是什么意思！
All boards and planks must be cut sufficiently full to stand the nominal thickness after kiln drying to 8% moisture contents.
拙译：所有木板必须经充分切割，使其标称厚度可以承受湿度为8%的烘烤。

其中：unedged始终搞不清是什么意思！
猜译：畸板是指，无法按该毛边板的短边为边长，从该板上切割出厚度10厘米以上的平边方料。
解释：咱不太清楚做木匠的怎么称“crooked”，可能是“残板”或“畸板”，也就是不能派大用场，只能做桌子腿什么的材料，做不得桌面，只能用做配料。
一般的板应该是长方体，“畸板”呢，应该是形状不规则，比如厚度不均匀等。
unedged可能是“毛边”，相当于“毛坯”中的“毛”。“edged”可能是“表面找平的”，相当于机械加工中的“端面见平”中的“平”。

解释：热风烘干时会发生收缩，因此进窑前的切割或下料要留下足够的加工余量，以便后续加工。比如，如果你的标称厚度是10厘米，进窑前下料厚度10.03厘米，干燥以后，收缩为9.97厘米，这就成了废品了。
