That Is Me!
I miss the river in my hometown,
And the mill by it singing all day long.
Oh-Mama,
When you see a spray smiling to you,
That is me, that is me, that's me around.
I miss the cooking-smoke in my hometown,
And the road to the country fair with ox-carts passing along.
Oh-Mama,
When you hear a flute singing to you,
That is me, that is me, that's me around.
I miss the lights on fishing boats in my hometown,
And the shells buried in the sand with the waves beyond.
Oh-Mama,
When you see a little boat sailing to you,
That is me, that is me, that's me around.
I miss the moon in my hometown,
And the mountains mirrored in waters without a sound.
Oh-Mama,
When you hear a melody from faraway coming to you,
That is me, that is me, that's me around.

Cool! General flavor feels as good as country music.

Here's my suggestion for one correction:
In the line "When you hear a flute singing to you", you may wish to use "a flute tune flying to you" instead of "a flute singing to you". What do you think?

The river "of" my hometown, shouldn't it be? The same goes for the boats and the moon. Dunno know aout the cooking-smoke (or kitchen smoke?).

Delete "know" in "dunno know."
