on the balance of probabilities：在平衡考虑各种可能性的基础上。就是对各种可能性给予充分平衡的考虑。
beyond all reasonable doubt：排除所有合理的疑问。也就是说，在合理的范围内，做出决策前把应该想到的都想到了，特别非常规的管不了，跟due diligence差不多有类似之处。

如果想用斜体，改b为i则可。注意：结束符字母在“/”右边！，否则以下所有文字都斜了，或粗了。我楼上那贴就是不小心搞错了。还有一点必须注意，所有字符都用西文的。
至于用颜色嘛，建议别用，否则各位都看到眼花了乱了。
详细情况，可在浏览器里，用属性来查看原html文本，然后从中学习。
希望我没讲错，毕竟我也是懂一点点。

我猜测作者讲的是B方开发了一个用于玻璃加工工业过程控制或优
化的计算机软件，对A方进行技术转让。但是文中用词含糊，需要
更明确的说明，否则会翻得牛头不对马嘴。技术说明性语言和合同语
言都需要精确，麻烦点都不要紧。

软件原理是指数学模型及算法吗？编程序也有原理。
第二部分是“使用该套软件优化成型工艺”吧？

如果是熔融态玻璃，用pour表示“倒入，倾入”似乎好些。drop给人
的感觉是少量大块的固态玻璃。

但是我还是想就部分用词发表一点看法，就算是借他个话头请众网友同好切磋技术分享经验。

我觉得“A方人员”应直接译为“A”。因为在合同书的开头都有关于合同双方名称的定义。中文中常简作甲方乙方，而英文合同中似多直接用名称：比如IBM， P&G，employee等(在开头先要详细定义这些名称)。所以这句可翻成：
The employee of A shall be able to grasp ... the optimization of the forming process.
"employee" 意思明确，应该比 “people" 要好些。optimization 不单用于程序，工艺过程的优化也是这个词。

事实上科技论文中用中性的influence的比例远高于impact。

我记得（一下子找不到资料），以前曾翻过英文合同，里面就是用“Party X”的--等星期一上班后再找找看。至于A方人员（这里的A方人员，我假定为甲方人员－－其实，“甲方”足够了），一般的合同恐怕不会说明甲方／乙方哪个部门何种人员，只要是甲方／乙方便行了，因而用Party A也就行了。

我把“验收”译成"acknowledgement"根据是American Heritage中该词条的一个解释：Recognition of another's existence, validity, authority, or right.

差旅和住宿费用各方自负
Transportation, food and lodging will be at their own expense of each party.
首先，改为“Transportation, food and lodging will be at each party's expenses”似乎更顺一点，但仍觉得有点失衡。
原句是“差旅和住宿费”，没包括“食”("meals")，因而不应有"food"。全句译为“Each party shall cover their own travel and lodging expenses"似乎较妥。合同里用shall似乎比will较为严谨。
不过，总觉得光是吃不包有点怪怪的。如果什么都不包，那么用accomodations似乎更为正式。即“Transportation and accomodations shall be covered by each party"或者干脆用Tian Xin的“Each party shall cover their own travel and living expenses.”亦可。
以上仅供参考。
