May all your wishes be granted.
A single conversation across the table with a wise man is worth a months study of books.
A thousand cups of wine do not suffice when true friends meet, but half a sentence is too much when there is no meeting of minds.
"MU"
Behind an able man there are always other able men.
He who knows others is clever; he who knows himself is enlightened.
If you stand straight, do not fear a crooked shadow.
In shallow waters, shrimps make fools of dragons.
Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without.
Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire.
He who learns but does not think, is lost! He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger.
Learning without thought is labor lost; thought without learning is perilous.
If I am walking with two other men, each of them will serve as my teacher. I will pick out the good points of the one and imitate them, and the bad points of the other and correct them in myself.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of ones ignorance.
Rotten wood cannot be carved.
If we don't know life, how can we know death?
Judge not the horse by his saddle.
The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their right names.

Don't wash your dirty linen in public
