I am having difficulties in connecting to websites in China ( mainland China only;
Taiwan sites seems to be OK).
In fact, I have not been able to log on to any sites for the
last two hours. For one particular site that I have been visiting, I was
not able to log in for two or 3 days now.
Is the problem on my side of the connection or something
is happening on the China side.
Any suggestions ?
(In most cases, only 10 to 20% of the material were transmitted and
the system will just hang there. IN other cases, all I got
was the message that connection have been made,
but no data came through.)

Try this one: www.163.net, where I can get to with no problem, even through a foreign proxy server!

Then it must be the problem of your computer or browser.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I fooled around with my browser
and was able to get in 162.net and 8848.net ; but I can't get
through to quote.yahoo.com. I still don't know whether it's me
or my ISP guy or what ! I'll keep trying :-)
